About Sonolite
Sonolite is a rare manganese silicate member of the humite group, typically displaying orange-red to pale reddish-brown colors with a vitreous luster in granular to prismatic crystals. It forms in manganese-rich metamorphic skarns and is associated with other manganese silicates in Japan, Sweden, and the United States. While rarely faceted, transparent specimens are sought by collectors of rare manganese-bearing gemstones.
