About Ulexite
La ulexita es un mineral de borato de sodio y calcio conocido como «piedra TV» o «televisión stone» por su propiedad de transmitir imágenes a través de sus fibras paralelas mediante reflexión interna total, como una fibra óptica natural. En forma satinada es blanca y sedosa; pulida en cabujón sobre texto o imágenes, proyecta la imagen en su superficie. Se extrae en depósitos evaporíticos de desiertos de California, Nevada (EE. UU.) y Chile.
