About Sulphur
El azufre es un elemento nativo que forma cristales amarillo limón a amarillo dorado de brillo resinoso. Aunque es demasiado blando (dureza 1.5–2.5) y frágil para joyería convencional, los cristales bien formados son muy apreciados por los coleccionistas. Se encuentra asociado a depósitos volcánicos y fumarolas, así como en yacimientos sedimentarios relacionados con el petróleo y el gas natural. Las mejores muestras cristalinas provienen de Sicilia (Italia) y de los volcanes de Bolivia y Perú.
