About Clinochlore
La clinocloro es un mineral del grupo de las cloritas, un filosilicato hidratado de magnesio, aluminio y hierro, que cristaliza en el sistema monoclínico en láminas o escamas de color verde claro a verde oscuro, con brillo perlado. Se forma en rocas metamórficas de bajo grado y en zonas de alteración hidrotermal. Su variedad de color rosado-rojizo, conocida como 'seraphinita' (o clinocloro en fibras satinadas), es especialmente apreciada en joyería por sus llamativas inclusiones plumosas de color plateado sobre un fondo verde oscuro. Esta variedad proviene exclusivamente de Siberia, Rusia, y es muy popular entre los diseñadores de joyería.
