About Petalite
Petalite is a lithium aluminum silicate mineral forming colorless, white, pale yellow, or pale pink prismatic to tabular crystals with a vitreous to pearly luster in granitic pegmatites. Named from the Greek "petalon" for leaf, for its foliated cleavage, it was first described from Utö, Sweden, and is also found in Brazil, Zimbabwe, and Western Australia. Colorless to pale gem-quality petalite produces exceptionally clear faceted stones valued by lithium mineral and collector enthusiasts for their clarity and unusual composition.
