About Chondrodite
Chondrodite is a magnesium silicate fluoride mineral of the humite group that forms yellow, orange, or red crystals in metamorphosed dolomitic limestones and skarns. Fine transparent yellow to orange gem crystals come from the Tilly Foster Mine in New York, Pargas in Finland, and Pakistan's Kohistan region. Its warm color, moderate hardness, and rarity make faceted chondrodite an appealing specialty collector gem.
