About Ametrine
Ametrine is a bicolored variety of quartz in which amethyst's purple and citrine's yellow-orange zones occur within a single crystal, creating a striking natural color gradient. It forms only in the Anahi Mine in eastern Bolivia, making it one of the few gemstones with a single known primary commercial source in the world. The sharp, geometric boundary between purple and gold zones is entirely natural, caused by temperature variations during crystal growth.
