About Sheen Obsidian
Sheen Obsidian is a volcanic glass variety that produces a floating, ethereal sheen of gold, silver, or rainbow iridescence caused by the reflection of light from tiny gas bubbles or nanoparticle inclusions aligned within the glass. Black obsidian with a golden or silver sheen is sourced primarily from Mexico, while rainbow sheen obsidian shows multiple spectral colors in shifting patterns. All varieties are widely used for jewelry, carvings, and scrying mirrors.
