About Mohawkite
Mohawkite is a naturally occurring alloy of arsenic and copper (domeykite-algodonite series), forming metallic silver-gray to pinkish-white granular or massive aggregates in copper deposits. It was first described from the Mohawk copper mine in Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA, from which it takes its name. Cut and polished mohawkite produces attractive metallic specimens prized by lapidary and metal mineral collectors for their unusual native alloy composition.
