About Creedite
Creedite is a calcium aluminum sulfate fluoride hydroxide mineral forming stunning, spiky, needle-like crystal clusters that radiate outward like white or pale violet snowflakes from a dark matrix. The finest specimens come from the Navidad Mine in Durango, Mexico, and Creede, Colorado—from which it takes its name. Its striking crystal architecture and translucent lavender color make creedite one of the most visually dramatic display minerals for collectors.
