About Clinohedrite
Clinohedrite is an extremely rare calcium zinc silicate hydroxide mineral known almost exclusively from the zinc mining district of Franklin and Sterling Hill, New Jersey, USA—one of the most mineralogically diverse localities on Earth. It forms small, colorless to pale lavender crystals and fluoresces an intense orange-red under UV light, making it a prized fluorescent mineral specimen. Faceted clinohedrite is one of the rarest collector gems imaginable.
