About Bertrandite
Bertrandite is a colorless to pale yellow beryllium silicate mineral that occurs in small, tabular crystals in beryllium-rich granitic pegmatites and greisens. While rarely transparent enough for faceting, it holds commercial importance as the primary beryllium ore mineral mined at the large deposit in Spor Mountain, Utah. Its close association with other beryllium minerals, including emerald and aquamarine, makes it of interest to mineralogical collectors.
