About Wulfenite
Wulfenite is a lead molybdate mineral producing some of the world's most brilliantly colored mineral specimens—vivid orange, red, and yellow tabular to pyramidal crystals with a resinous to adamantine luster found in the oxidation zones of lead ore deposits. The Red Cloud Mine in Arizona, USA produces the world's most famous red wulfenite crystals, while vivid orange specimens from Los Lamentos, Mexico are equally celebrated. Despite its softness limiting its use as a gem, no mineral is more popular among collectors for sheer visual impact.
